Koala track, remixed by brunk: now available on iTunes!

Tadaa! There it is, the first official remix made by brunk!
Available now on iTunes!
It's track 18 (yes, the last but not the least ;-) ) on the album 'Koala Remixed':

• View in iTunes: Shadowland (brunk Remix)

• View in your browser: Koala Remixed

Koala is a Belgian trip hop band, always exploring new directions with their music - lots of interesting collaborations and guest vocalists. The track I remixed (Shadowland, from their last album 'Gravity') has vocals by Jean Bosco Safari (www.jeanboscosafari.be).

You can listen to the full track on the brunk myspace page:
www.myspace.com/brunkville (it's the first track in the player).

Hope you enjoy it, and of course, check out the whole album!

First DIY musicians netlabel compilation...: One!

The first release of the brand new DIY Musicians netlabel is a fact!

The netlabel is started by the people of the DIY Musicians group on Last.fm and features artists connected to that group. It's for those who are, or appreciate, singer-songwriters, bedroom musicians and obscure artists who write, compose, sing, play and produce (or any lesser combination) their own music all by themselves. In other words: DIY!

This first release (optimistically named 'One') is a compilation and features 27 different contributions from artists living all over the world. (So it's a double album, actually).
Each artist brings their own unique aesthetic to the album.

It's a very nice selection, with lots of variation, surprisingly good quality tracks and many cool discoveries, and the best news is: it's comletely free! So download and enjoy it!

Passive Cable Theory: 7 new albums > free downloads!

During week 42 of 2009 I recorded one short improvised noise session every night (one for every day of the week), with exactly the same setup (same sound sources, FX and some prerecorded samples to be mangled). October 24, saturday, was the first Passive Cable Theory live performance ever, and it's included here as album number 6 (42_24). On sunday the 25th I used a slightly different setup and no prerecorded samples, to make the harshest one of them all.

You can download them all now, for free, unedited, on the brand new Passive Cable Theory bandcamp page (you can even choose your preferred file format there: high or low quality mp3, CD quality wav, lossless flac, etc.): http://passivecabletheory.bandcamp.com/

This are all 7 album pages where you can listen + download:

http://passivecabletheory.bandcamp.com/album/42-23

Circles around the world - Audiotalaia Netlabel compilation [at025]

I've got the honour to be featured on this great compilation, be sure to check it out!
(it's totally free, and Audiotalaia is a quality netlabel that really deserves your attention):

CIRCLES AROUND THE WORLD

various artists compilation

Circles Around The World is a various artists compilation that can be seen as a celebration of the 25th release in Audiotalaia Netlabel. Over this two years of work we have been releasing works from artist all around the world. For this special occasion we want to deliver a gathering of works under a common concept.

We asked the artists to work under certain premises. We asked them to try to portray some concepts or ideas on those pieces. Those concepts were based on the idea of a circle or cycle around the world, a journey across countries and cultures. The artists have been working on those ideas from the sonic point of view. Some of them have delivered tracks that represent features from the regions where they live. Some others have based their sound on travelling literature translating text into music. Some others have been working on soundscapes and sonic structures from their territory.

All together the compilation becomes a journey across the world, a conjunction of spaces, structures and scapes from all over the world. All of them are a representation of the thoughts and interests of each artist and their own perspective of the world.
